What you will do
Join our top-notch legal team and become the guardian of our global trademark portfolio. In this pivotal role, you'll help manage and safeguard our key brands, navigate through complex IP challenges, and provide strategic legal counsel. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in trademark practice, you'll bring your expertise to support international trademark strategies, ensuring our intellectual property remains protected and enforced. Your ability to collaborate across our global organization will be key to our collective success!
How you will do it
- Efficiently manage, protect, and enforce selected parts of the global trademark portfolio for our key brands under the supervision of the Head of Trademarks and other team members.
- Vigilantly monitor trademarks and expertly handle disputes, oppositions, cancellations, and litigation within the portfolio.
- Instruct outside counsel in adversarial proceedings, ensuring cost management and adherence to budget. Skilfully draft and review cease and desist letters, co-existence agreements, and settlement agreements.
- Provide initial guidance to the business in branding decisions, developing comprehensive global trademark protection plans, conducting clearance searches, and offering risk assessments.
- Offer initial legal advice on trademark and other brand-related IP matters, including copyright and licensing, in commercial agreements and M&A transactions, including legal advice to Marketing
- Participate in the development and implementation of robust strategies for brand protection and enforcement, while providing training to the business in these areas.
What we look for
- University degree in law, a specialization in intellectual property law is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing trademark law, preferably gained in an in-house role.
- Demonstrated first experiences in the management of a trademark portfolio in an international context.
- Affinity and interest for new technologies, in particular AI.
- Strong proficiency in English language used for collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong team player, with the ability to effectively build and develop relationships across an international organization, leveraging them for success.
